BoySetsFire has been a band for over two decades. In that time we have played hundreds of shows to anyone that would watch us, from basements to festival audiences. We lived through the terror of rap-rock, the tyranny of nu-metal, and the dark days of pop-punk. We were around before the internet. Truth. We made demo tapes. We have recorded 4 LPs, EPs, CDs, and even a Cassingle. We have played Rookie over 1,000 times. We have fallen off more stages than most people have stood on. We have been signed and dropped and signed and dropped. Frankly, most would have given up years ago.
No Trigger
The story of No Trigger begins in Massachusetts in the year 2000 when the impassioned hardcore punk outfit made their first splash with a series of self-released demos and split EPs, leading punk rock media outlets such as Pastepunk and Punknews to name them the best unsigned band of their time. Fast forward to 2006, countless live shows later, and the release of the band’s landmark debut (and to this point, only) full length album, Canyoneer on Nitro Records, an album that, regardless of any future releases, cemented the band’s legacy in punk rock forever. Such is the story of No Trigger, a band destined to release groundbreaking punk rock albums, riling up their fanbase, only to disappear into the abyss and return again years later.
Pentimento
While staying true to the roots and influences of its upbringing, what sets Pentimento apart is the sheer honesty and authenticity present in its music. Pentimento's goal has always been to share passionate music with others. Its hope has always been for listeners to develop a personal relationship with its music, eclipsing the traditional band-to-fan acquaintance and fusing a deeper bond.
Light Years
Makers
Taking equal parts urgency and angst, Maker has been weaving forceful and undeniably catchy songs for the better part of 5 years now. Their latest EP, simply entitled “Maker”, is a testament to their hard work and dedication as songwriters and musicians. The “Maker” EP is being released on November 13th through Engineer records in the UK/Europe, distributed in the U.S.A by Asbestos Records, and on vinyl via Black Numbers. This 5 song EP showcases the maturity they have been striving to hit ever since they started Maker in a Massachusetts basement some few years ago.
